When two-time NHRA Pro Modified champion Stevie "Fast" Jackson hit the throttle on the burnout a few weeks ago at a test session in Darlington, SC, he went to nearly the eighth mile to let the Artivinco-sponsored Camaro know who was boss. It was Jackson's way of informing the doorslammer world his neck surgery over the winter was a mere bump in the road.

The next step in being back for Jackson will come at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, as he announced on Tuesday's Shake and Bake Show.

"I fully intend to enter competition again at the U.S. Nationals," Jackson confirmed. "I will be fielding the second Artivinco racing car owned by Sidnei Frigo. It's his spare car that we're putting together, and he has asked me to compete in it at Indy."

Jackson underwent surgery on Monday, December 19, 2022, to repair damage from several crashes dating back to as far as 2008 to as recently as 2018, when he crashed during the final round of the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals outside of Charlotte, NC. He was sidelined up to six months.

Jackson made eight laps in Frigo's primary car last month, bringing him closer to his full comeback. 

"I'm thrilled and grateful that he's given me the honor to drive that thing and enter back into competition in it," Jackson said. "And his trust and faith in me, it means a lot to me, and I mean that. Being able to be an asset to the Artivinco Racing team is a huge honor, and I'm excited about putting a little bit of extra heat on some of our competitors."
