Mike Stavrinos captured two Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series victories at Firebird Motorsports Park this weekend, winning the 40th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals just one day after his Gainesville triumph. The Phoenix race, powered by LAT Racing Oils, is the second of 10 events in the 2025 season.

Stavrinos enjoyed a remarkable weekend, securing both wins against Rickie Smith. In the final round of the NHRA Arizona Nationals, he drove his AAP Camaro to a winning time of 5.725 seconds at 248.43 mph.

 

“This is something I wanted to do with my whole life, and we did it twice in one weekend,” Stavrinos said. “I really do owe it all to my crew. Without those guys, this wouldn’t happen.”

 

In addition to his race victories, Stavrinos also won the Total Seal Pro Mod Showdown, earning $10,000 for achieving the best E.T. average over the weekend’s four qualifying rounds.

 

Stavrinos began race day as the No. 1 qualifier, defeating Dymtry Samorukov, Kevin Rivenbark, and reigning champion Jordan Lazic before meeting Smith in the final.

 

Smith advanced to the championship round by defeating Jason Scruggs, Billy Banaka, and Chip King.

 

The Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series will return to action at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway on April 25-27 in Charlotte.
