There is no Sox & Martin Hemi Challenge winner this year. NHRA confirmed in a statement today that both winner Jason Line and runner-up Jimmy Daniels have been disqualified. Reportedly there were technical infractions on both cars.

 

From what we hear, Line’s car was disqualified for for a carburetor venturi infraction. Reportedly, one side of Line’s carburetors had venturis .008 too big.
Daniels had a cylinder head external modification issue but still cc’d legally. 

 

NHRA had confirmed the winner and runner-up share of the purse will be distributed evenly among the 14 other participants in the Hemi Challenge.
