A lineup of NHRA standouts including Alexis DeJoria, Cruz Pedregon, Tony Stewart, and Ida Zetterström will help relaunch the “Rev n Roll” charity bowling event benefiting Riley Children’s Foundation on Dec. 10. The fundraiser returns to Western Bowl after a six-year absence and will once again serve as an unofficial kickoff to the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show week.
The event gives fans the opportunity to bowl and interact with drivers while contributing to one of Indiana’s most respected charitable causes. With support from Brownsburg-based JCM Racing, Indianapolis residents and longtime Riley advocates Mike Lewis and Hali Warnick are leading the revived effort.
Lewis and Warnick aim to generate funds for the nationally ranked children’s hospital foundation through lane sales and a silent auction. The auction will open online Dec. 1, offering fans and supporters additional ways to participate even if they cannot attend in person.
DeJoria, Pedregon, Stewart, and Zetterström are the first confirmed participants, with more driver announcements expected as the event approaches. The drivers will join Riley Kids and their families for the ceremonial “first roll,” which will signal the official start of the evening’s activities.
Pedregon said the cause resonates widely within the drag racing community, particularly among the many NHRA teams based near Indianapolis. “We’re all for supporting anything Riley-related,” Pedregon said. “So many in our community have personal connections to Riley, and with many NHRA teams based here in Indy, it’s a cause that’s near and dear to us drag racers.”
He added that his team’s annual U.S. Nationals Open House consistently draws heavy support for the foundation. “When I heard the Rev n Roll event was coming back, I felt it was important to get involved,” Pedregon said. “I hope to see the place packed with race fans.”
Participants will receive an additional perk thanks to ProThings, which is providing complimentary commemorative bowling shirts designed by motorsports livery artist Dave Marek for the first 200 registrants. Event organizers expect demand to rise as PRI week draws near and more drivers confirm their involvement.
