Ken Quartuccio keeps winning with wide or narrow tires and finds success whenever he hits the track. This time, Quartucci won on Drag Radial tires, capturing the Radial vs. The World title at the Lights Out 16 title.

 

Quartuccio, who won the DI Winter Series last month, was joined on the South Georgia Motorsports Park podium by Brad Edwards, who won Pro 275.

 

Quartucci stopped Aussie drag racer John Ricca in the final round.

Quartuccio made a clean sweep of the event, qualifying No. 1, earning a first round bye run and then stopping a line-up of Stevie “Fast” Jackson, Ned Dunphy.

 

Edwards, who fell to the No. 2 qualifying spot on Friday, was the top runner on race day by stopping Mo Hall, Bill Lutz, and Brian McGee.

 

He stopped Aussie Grantley Schloss in the final with a 3.684, 216.51.

 

Schloss, who started at No. 4, beat Roger Holder, Brylon Holder, and Paul Major to reach the final round.

 

The top two divisions finished on Saturday, while the balance raced to completion on Sunday.

 

Rob Globo used a slight holeshot and a 3.910, 191.51 to win the Limited Drag Radial title in an all-Michigan final, stopping Greg Blevins’ 3.902, 191.40.

 

In X275, Eric Laferriere ran a 4.084, 185.15 in his “White Rice” Toyota, which got the best of Chris Taylor’s small block Ford Mustang, and a 4.332, 168.45.

 

Davey Hull won the Ultra Street division before it began, as Ray Cox left before the tree was activated.

 

Dean Fluhart drove around Jimmy Dale’s .001 reaction time in his late-model Mustang to win Limited 235 by a 4.918, 141.64 to 5.018, 141.22 margin.
