The Southeast Gassers Association returns to Rockingham Dragway this weekend with plenty for classic race fans to be excited about. The series revisits with an uncommon double-feature event that will complete one race and launch another as the 2026 championship season resumes.

The Bowl4Life Foundation Rock Revival, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, will feature the conclusion of the rain-delayed RAM Clutches Nationals from Knoxville Dragway before teams compete in the fifth points race of the season on Saturday.

Rain cut eliminations eliminations short at Knoxville earlier this year, leaving Race No. 4 unfinished. Competition will resume Friday evening with the opening round of B/Gas eliminations before the remaining classes race to determine event winners.

Friday’s action includes test-and-tune sessions during breaks in competition, giving fans a full evening of on-track activity while championship contenders finish unfinished business from Knoxville.
Saturday shifts the focus to the Bowl4Life Foundation Rock Revival, where racers will battle for points in A/Gas, B/Gas, C/Gas and Super Stock. Exhibition categories A/FX and H/Gas also are scheduled to compete.
The Southeast Gassers’ return marks its first championship points appearance at Rockingham Dragway in more than a decade. The series has run at the historic facility but only in an exhibition presentation.Â

Known for recreating the look and style of 1960s drag racing, the Southeast Gassers compete in heads-up, first-to-the-finish competition using period-correct cars and combinations while meeting modern safety standards.

Saturday’s schedule extends beyond the racing surface with a Show & Go Cruise-In for 1972-and-older vehicles. Participants who drive qualifying classics to the track will receive preferred parking with paid admission, while the first 100 entries will receive a commemorative dash plaque designed by SEGA artist Stephen Smith.

Tom Sarmento, who served as head mechanic for the television series The Dukes of Hazzard, also is scheduled to appear with General Lee display cars during the weekend.
Racing begins at 5 p.m. ET on both Friday and Saturday. Gates open at 3 p.m. Friday for completion of the RAM Clutches Nationals and test-and-tune activities, while Saturday gates open at 1 p.m. ahead of qualifying and championship eliminations.

Rockingham serves as the midway point of the SEGA season. From there, the championship heads to Farmington Dragway on Aug. 22, followed by Greer Dragway on Sept. 12, a doubleheader at Gulfport Dragway on Oct. 9-10 and the season finale at Shadyside Dragway on Oct. 31.
