The Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series announced increased championship payouts, new sponsors, and schedule updates during a press conference at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show. The series will raise its overall championship payouts by more than $100,000, allocating $25,000 to the world champions in the Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost classes.

“After celebrating our 10th season in 2023, we kicked off our second decade of world championship eighth-mile drag racing with the addition of Red Line Oil as our title sponsor,” said Tyler Crossnoe, series director. “This partnership, as well as the support of our racers, have allowed us to continue raising the bar.”

The total championship fund for the PDRA’s seven heads-up classes, four sportsman divisions, and two Jr. Dragster categories will rise from $95,350 in 2024 to $196,125 in 2025. Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost champions will each receive $25,000, while champions in other categories, including Pro Street and Extreme Pro Stock, will earn $10,000.

“These increases bring our championship purses up by as much as 348%,” Crossnoe said. “It’s important that we reward the drivers and teams who pursue a PDRA world championship.”

New marketing partners for the 2025 season include Killin’ Time Racing, which will provide contingency rewards, and Performance Torque Converters, the presenting sponsor for Pro 632. Liberty’s Gears will be the title sponsor for Pro Street while Menscer Motorsports will serve as the presenting sponsor.

“We strive to provide value for all of our partners, from sponsors to contingency sponsors,” Crossnoe said. “We’re grateful for our new and current partners.”

Crossnoe also announced an update to the 2025 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series schedule. The fifth annual Pro Stars race will now occur on Thursday, Oct. 2, leading into the Brian Olson Memorial World Finals on Oct. 2-5 at Virginia Motorsports Park.

“By moving Pro Stars to run with one of our national events, we’re hoping more racers will participate,” Crossnoe said. “The addition of Pro Stars and Night of Fire will make for one of the most thrilling weekends on the 2025 schedule.”
