NHRA officials announced a multi-year partnership with GESi to sponsor the No. 1 qualifier award in Pro Stock. The GESi Pro Stock No. 1 Qualifier Award will be presented at each of the 18 Pro Stock events during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, starting with this weekend’s Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.

The top qualifier in Pro Stock will earn $2,000 at each event, enhancing the competitive atmosphere during qualifying.

“I love this class and I think if you work that hard to become the No. 1 qualifier you should be rewarded for it,” said GESi CEO Eric Latino. “It’s such a high-level professional class, and we wanted to step up and provide this. I wanted to give back, and I’m really looking forward to this.”

The award marks GESi’s continued involvement in NHRA drag racing. The company specializes in design, engineering, and manufacturing of global emission systems.

Last year, reigning Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson secured eight No. 1 qualifying positions, while six-time champion Erica Enders followed with seven. Dallas Glenn, who finished second in points, achieved two top qualifying efforts in 2024.

Anderson leads all Pro Stock competitors with 132 career No. 1 qualifying positions.

“We’re excited to partner with GESi on this award, which offers a little more incentive for the drivers in Pro Stock to try and get that No. 1 position,” said NHRA Director of Advertising/Sponsorship Sales Jeff Morton. “This will be a great award to track throughout the year as teams put in a great amount of effort to try and qualify No. 1.”
