The Congruity HR NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series heads to Bristol Dragway for the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, marking the midway point of the 2025 season. With the scenic mountains of eastern Tennessee as a backdrop, the event promises the thunder of 3,000+ horsepower Pro Mods.

After a dynamic weekend at the Route 66 Nationals, teams are regrouping and recharging as the championship race intensifies. The Bristol stop is a historic fan favorite, cemented by legends like “Trickie” Rickie Smith.

JR Gray and Mike Stavrinos have maintained their championship momentum, with Gray making another final-round appearance. However, it was Modern Racing’s Mason Wright who seized the opportunity to claim his first victory of the season after Gray went red.

The action in Bristol will spotlight teams like Al-Anabi, led by Gray and Stavrinos, and local favorite Trickie Rickie Smith. Billy Banaka is also a driver to watch, as he remains a consistent presence despite a parts failure in Chicago.

Stevie “Fast” Jackson is set to return as a substitute driver for the Artivinco/KTR Racing team this weekend. He expressed excitement about competing at Bristol, stating, “It’s always been at the top of my list, and we’re showing up this weekend to try and check that box.”

Defending champion Jordan Lazic is determined to turn his season around after missing the field in both Gainesville and Chicago. His performance in Bristol could provide the redemption he seeks.

The RDRC/Mike Janis Superchargers team enters Bristol with a strong lineup. Alex Laughlin, Mike Janis, and Dmitry Samorukov are all hungry for success, particularly with Laughlin’s impressive finish in Charlotte.

With only five races left after Bristol, the points race is tightening. Teams will vie for top-tier finishes in a competitive environment where every qualifying pass and round win matters.

The Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals runs June 6–8 at Bristol Dragway. Fans can catch the high-octane action live on NHRA.tv if unable to attend in person.
