For the fourth consecutive year, Maple Grove Raceway officials reported a Saturday sellout crowd during qualifying at the NHRA Reading Nationals presented by Nitro Fish. The milestone came as the track celebrated the 40th anniversary of its signature event.
Fans filled the historic Pennsylvania facility for two rounds of qualifying that launched the six-race Countdown to the Championship playoffs. The strong turnout continued a trend of capacity crowds for one of the sport’s cornerstone races.
The Koretsky family, which purchased Maple Grove Raceway in 2022, has seen Saturday qualifying sell out each year since taking ownership. This weekend’s announcement added another special chapter at what they call the “House of Chaos.”
“This is awesome,” Kyle Koretsky said. “The track has been here 40 years and these fans just keep showing up. The support here is crazy and it means so much to our family. It’s amazing and this is what it’s all about. It’s all about these fans and we hope everyone is enjoying themselves.”
Saturday’s sellout marked the fifth capacity crowd of the season for the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. The attendance figures reflect continued growth at key venues as the series moves deeper into its playoff schedule.
Eliminations for the NHRA Reading Nationals presented by Nitro Fish begin Sunday at 11 a.m. ET at Maple Grove Raceway.
