A source close to the NHRA’s management said the series is considering replacements for the now departed NHRA venue in Denver. Reportedly the heat in the middle of summer is being cited for Pomona and possibly Phoenix as being unlikely options for the opening in the Western Swing. We are told that RAD Torque Raceway, the facility located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is one while considering launching the Western Swing at the new Flying H Drag Strip outside of Kansas City, Mo, is another. Our question is… what about Bakersfield?
