Aflac will continue its relationship with Kalitta Motorsports in 2026, renewing its partnership with the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series team and returning as the primary sponsor for Doug Kalitta’s Top Fuel dragster at this weekend’s Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge.

The partnership extends a relationship between one of the nation’s largest supplemental health insurance providers and one of drag racing’s most established organizations.

Aflac will serve as the primary partner on Kalitta’s dragster at Sonoma Raceway, where the two-time Top Fuel world champion will look to add another victory to his résumé.

“We are pleased to renew our relationship with Team Kalitta for another season of racing fun in 2026,” Aflac Senior Vice President of Broker Strategy Richard Siebert said. “Aflac prides itself on paying benefits quickly and efficiently to help our customers in their time of need in the same way that Doug Kalitta races to the finish line ahead of the competition. We wish Doug all the success in the world for this racing season.”

The renewed agreement pairs two organizations with long histories in their respective industries. Kalitta Motorsports traces its roots to the 1950s under team owner Connie Kalitta, while Aflac has grown into the nation’s leading provider of supplemental health insurance products and a longtime supporter of sports marketing initiatives.

Kalitta Motorsports General Manager Chad Head said the partnership reflects common values shared by both organizations.

“Aflac returning to Kalitta Motorsports this season is great news for our race team and for NHRA Drag Racing overall,” Head said. “Connie Kalitta started Kalitta Motorsports in the 1950s around the same time the Amos family started their business. Aflac’s commitment to innovation closing the gap between what health insurance does and does not cover, is not unlike what we do at Kalitta Motorsports with a never-ending need to push the envelope and make our cars faster. We hope this relationship remains mutually beneficial, and we welcome Aflac back to Team Kalitta and NHRA Drag Racing.”

Aflac is the leading provider of supplemental insurance products in the United States and a leader in cancer insurance coverage. The company also has been recognized by Ethisphere as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for 20 consecutive years, making it the only insurance company to earn the distinction every year since the award’s inception in 2007.

Kalitta Motorsports fields a three-car operation in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, with Kalitta competing in Top Fuel alongside teammates racing throughout the 20-event national schedule. The Sonoma Nationals mark another opportunity for the team to showcase one of its longest-standing corporate partnerships before the series continues its Western Swing.
