FTI Performance has launched a new 2-piece Powerglide case with removable bellhousing. The new design caters to LS and LT engines and is compatible with aftermarket Ford and Chrysler bell housings.

The case features a bushing-style design, ensuring durability and adaptability for various racing applications. Its construction is SFI-approved for safety compliance.

John Boxel of FTI Performance explained the enhancements made to the case.

“We’ve improved some passages inside of it,” Boxel said at the recent SEMA MPMC conference. “Improving the passages increases fluid flow to be able to increase line pressure which prolongs the transmission.”

The upgrade is designed to be cost-effective, enhancing resale value by allowing users to keep the case while swapping out the bellhousing as needed.

“The versatility of the case allows the customer to just replace the bellhousing between a Chrysler and a Chevrolet instead of replacing the complete case,” Boxel said.
