Following Maddi Gordon’s announcement to drive a Top Fuel car for Ron Capps Motorsports in 2026, the Gordon Family Racing team reveals its future plans. The team will maintain its presence in the Top Alcohol Funny Car division with three-time World Champion Doug Gordon behind the wheel of the Beta Motorcycles Morro Bay Cabinets Chevrolet Camaro.

Doug Gordon expresses confidence in his team’s dynamic. “It’s going to be a big change for our team with Maddi in Top Fuel. Even though she will not be working on the car between rounds we feel good knowing she will be at the track at the same time as us,” he said.

Maddi’s transition leaves a notable gap in the pit, prompting the team to finalize plans for her replacement. Mike Gordon will continue to make tuning decisions, Macie Gordon serves as engine builder and car chief, Cheryl Gordon manages day-to-day operations, and Christina continues her role as backup girl while assisting Macie with engine service.

The Gordon family remains committed to their racing goals as they pursue a National Championship in 2025. “I have a feeling if we are working late, she will be there getting her hands dirty with us. Really excited for her and can’t wait to watch her grow,” Doug Gordon added, emphasizing the team’s collective focus on both personal and professional growth.
