The engineering team at ARP has developed fastener kits to enhance the performance and reliability of Ford’s 7.3L “Godzilla” engine. The range includes a head stud kit, main stud and bolt kit, rod bolts, and a harmonic damper bolt.
Manufactured in Southern California, the head and main studs are made from ARP2000™ alloy, rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength. They undergo a centerless grinding process and have threads rolled after heat treatment to deliver up to 20 times better fatigue strength than standard fasteners, with rod bolts also produced from ARP2000™ material.
ARP offers additional reliability with its new flexplate bolt kit. The company also provides polished stainless steel or black oxide finished 8740 chrome moly accessory bolts that are 20 percent stronger than Grade 8 hardware.
