NHRA announced sweeping changes to their Pro Stock division back in July with certain aspects of the change to be named later. Today, on their NHRA Racer site, the sanctioning body revealed their standard length for wheelie bars as well as plans for the redesigned hood scoops. 



Wheelie Bar Specifications


 


·        Maximum Length 66 inches measured from the center of the rear axle to the center of the bolt in wheelie bar wheel.


·        Minimum weight on rear axle at conclusion of a run increased to 1,100 pounds from 1,090 pounds.



Maximum Hood Height Specifications


 


·        Maximum hood height from the front edge of the front bumper back 30 inches measured from the ground 31.5 inches maximum and front edge of the bumper back 39 inches measured from the ground 33.5 inches maximum.


o   Hood must remain as originally accepted unless modifications are approved by OEM and NHRA Technical Department. Per 2015 NHRA Rulebook Pro Stock, Section 16, page 7 – Modification to NHRA-accepted body components prohibited.
