The word floating once again is that NHRA will have different amounts of qualifying sessions throughout the season. We are told that 12 races will have a full complement of qualifying runs. Eight events, including the TBA, scheduled initially for Flying H Dragstrip, which likely isn’t happening, will have three sessions. Two of the six Countdown races, Charlotte and St. Louis, will run the shortened qualifying. The NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, will present five sessions.
