That’s gonna leave a mark. And for Tony Stewart Racing, they hope to keep making a positive mark for the Tennessee-based Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage (JHG) as they have announced an extended partnership with Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. In a multi-year agreement, JHG will serve as the primary sponsor for a minimum of six events on the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Funny Car driven by three-time champion Matt Hagan.
Starting in 2024, JHG will increase its partnership with TSR, expanding their involvement from two primary events in 2023 to six races. JHG’s primary races for 2023 included the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals and the Betway NHRA Carolina Nationals. In the upcoming year, JHG will take center stage as the primary sponsor for Hagan during the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals, the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals, the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, the Betway NHRA Carolina Nationals, and the Texas NHRA FallNationals. Their sponsorship will be prominently showcased on Matt Hagan’s Funny Car through the JHG logo on the car’s hood and side panels. For all other races, JHG will be featured as an associate partner.
“We are very excited to be sponsoring Matt Hagan’s TSR Funny Car and continue our growing relationship in the upcoming seasons,” Jason Johnson, Owner and President of Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage, said. “Our continued sponsorship with Elite Motorsports, and now the new mountain motor program, only add to that. Tony (Stewart) and Richard (Freeman) both have great race programs and are the future of this sport.”
