The NDRC 2026 Nitro Up North meeting for Top Fuel and Doorslammer at Hidden Valley Dragway, Darwin, scheduled for August 14–15, has been canceled.

According to series organizer Andy Lopes, “the rising costs experienced by Top Fuel and Doorslammer due to the fuel crisis in the first part of 2026 mean they’re no longer able to be a part of the program. This is not about traveling to Darwin; this is about what it costs the teams to run for the entire season, and sadly, with everything that’s happened this year, this hard decision has been made.”

The last time Top Fuel raced at Hidden Valley was in 2023 when Damien Harris claimed the 2022-2023 championship, and now retired Peter Xiberras won the A-Final.

The next meeting on the calendar for Top Fuel and Doorslammer is the East Coast Nationals at Sydney Dragway, September 26-27.
