AHDRA/AMA All-American motorcycle drag racing is set to deliver a fantastic show to motorcycle enthusiasts from today until June 11, 2023, in the upgraded Kuhnle Motorsports Park in Thompson, Ohio. It promises to be a thrilling event with the Advanced Sleeve All-Harley Nitro Buckeye Nationals showcasing AHDRA’s Top Fuel heroes, gasoline studs, and pro and sportsman bikes that will race down the Kuhnle quarter mile.
Race fans’ excitement will be fueled by the exciting head-to-head action between reigning Top Fuel champion, Tracy Kile, Ohio’s Ryan Perry–the 2021 champion–and other Top Fuel Harley racers such as Chris Streeter and “Gunslinger” Jason Pridemore. Spectators will also be on the edge of their seats as Derrick Nelson, Smokin’ Dean Ryan, and other top racers compete for the win.
Ryan Peery, defending champion of the Hawaya Racing Pro Fuel category, will compete with Michael Balch, Armon Furr, and other top racers in the high gear-only class. Peery will also ride his “Big Nasty” Nitro Funnybike, making it an exhilarating race day.
Pro Fuel champion Sam White, who has won both AHDRA races this year, is looking for another victory in Ohio. He will face competition from “Bad Apple Mary” Dangrow, Jim “Bad Influence” Martin, Jason Leeper, and other fierce competitors.
For those into nitrous vs. turbo battles, GMS Racing Engines Xtreme Outlaw is the class to watch with Mike Motto and Charley Douglass fighting it out in the practically unrestricted no-bar, street tire category.
Several classes will race out the backdoor, such as Zipper’s Performance Products Pro Modified, Axtell Cylinders Super Modified, Pingel Modified, and MTC Pro Comp Outlaw Bagger. The winning riders in these classes include John Price, Kimberly “K-Charm” Deshields, Gary Douglass, Keith Carper, Jeff Workman, Chris Wood, Perry Paugh, and many others who are all bolstered by their desire for cash and glory.
Vreeland’s Harley-Davidson 9.90, 9.30, 11.50, and 10.30 index, Universal Fleet & Tire 10.90, Trophy, and Eliminator all race to an index or dial-in, with great sportsman racers like Chris Hoppe, Ken Strauss, Cody Hayworth, Freddy Frazier, Manny “Taco” Carrasquillo, Daryl Pellegrini, Stoney Westbrook, Chris Ussery, Bruce Croneberger, Charlie Walker amongst those expected to attend.
Junior Dragbikes will also be participating in this event with the Hines brothers—Michael Jr. and Jaden—having to make way for some thrills from newcomers.
Attendees with Harley-Davidson, Indian, or Buell motorcycles who are ready to hit the pavement can bring them to the race! With various classes open, there’s sure to be a category for everyone.
