Cynergy7 NOSChassis builder Jerry Bickel said the C7 Corvette project is progressing nicely.

Bickel confirmed Cynergy Composites supplied a “splash mold” to enable his shop to begin building their chassis to coincide with the forthcoming bodies. He confirmed he’s taken deposits for six cars thus far.

“We have our first completed and starting on our second,” Bickel confirmed.

Bickel said Cynergy Composites is in the process of finalizing the molds which will then be shipped to Tim McAmis’ Velocity Composites in Hawk Point, Mo., where the bodies will be built there. Bickel estimates the first completed body in six-to-seven weeks.

“We’re hoping the process will flow rather quickly,” Bickel adds. “For now, we are accepting orders for welded chassis.”

Bickel confirmed the first of the JBRC C7 Corvettes will go to turbo racer Troy Coughlin followed by a nitrous version for Bob Rahaim. The third one is for Randy Weatherford.
