Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin will be celebrating Independence Day in a big way with its Night of Fire Jet Spectacular on Saturday June 30, 2018.
Great Lakes Dragaway is well known for decades of jet car spectacles. This 3rd Annual event brings Nine jet powered dragsters and funny cars to race side by side on GLD’s legendary quarter mile. Among them are Danny Sullivan and Chicago Rush, Barry Richter’s Hypersonic jet funny car, Dave Modder’s Dragon’s Fyre 1940 Ford, and the Hot Blade dragster of Al Zukauskas. Don’t miss what will be the biggest display of jet fueled dragster power in the Midwest!
Two wheeled excitement is also on the card with the Twinstunts Motorcycle Stunt Team. Twin brothers Shannon and Sawyer Schmidtman will be performing their unique brand of acrobatics and stunts on a variety of motorcycles.
There will also be exciting match race action with the crowd pleasing Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stock Association.
Wheels-up, straight axle madness will brought to you by the Brew City Gassers, And the All-American horsepower will take to the track with the Classic American Muscle Association and the Buick-Olds-Pontiac Classic.
Gates open at 9 am, racing starts at 10 am. The Show begins at 5pm with the GLD Parade of Stars. The 1st session of Jet Car follows immediately. Spectator Admission for adults ages 16 and older is $25 at the gate or you can purchase advanced tickets online at www.greatlakesdragaway.com for just $20 each.
