This is one we will go bonkers over when all the “i’s” are dotted and “t’s” crossed. Word has it that the Professional Racers Organization are finalizing the details for a $1,000,000 event to kick off the 2024 season in February.

While details are still a bit uncertain, we are told this event, which is supposed to be in the southeastern United States in February, will pay $250,000 apiece to the winners of Top Fuel and Funny Car and $100,000 to Pro Stock, and it will be weeks ahead of the NHRA season-opener.

If this one flies, this puts pressure on NHRA to deliver a similar big-stakes event which is not a season-long accumulation of points to participate.
