Tracy Dennis, the driving force behind the Sunset Racecraft business, died on Thursday from a gunshot wound. Dennis was 53 years old.

According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, the death is being labeled as an apparent murder-suicide.

The Sunset Racecraft described Dennis as one who grew up in a racing family, building both race cars and engines for years. The business grew from a small two man operation into one of the premier performance and racing engine shops in the world.
