For years and years, CompetitionPlus.com has asked members of the racing community to provide our readers with what they are most thankful for during this holiday season. This year’s featured driver is Erica Enders-Stevens, driver of the Elite Performance Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stocker. Two weeks ago Erica made drag racing history by earning the first female NHRA Pro Stock championships.

We join her in celebrating being thankful for a lot.  

I am THANKFUL for My faith…

Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so that we can have everlasting life. I’ve been trying to make this Pro Stock deal work for 10 years now, and I’m not shy about my faith, and I believe in my heart that God doesn’t give you what you can’t handle, but he also doesn’t put things in front of you if the time is not right. It’s always in his time.

I am THANKFUL for Our health…

I’m thankful for my health, and for the good health of my family.

I am THANKFUL for My family …

I’m blessed to have a fantastic family who is so supportive. I would not be where I am today without my dad, Gregg Enders. He and my mom sacrificed a lot so that my sister Courtney and I could follow our dreams. I’m so blessed to be so close with my family.

I am THANKFUL for Richie Stevens …

He is an amazing husband who stands beside me no matter what. It is so nice to have somebody who understands what I do and the passion I have for our sport … because he shares the same passion.

I am THANKFUL for My dog Gucci…

She’s the closest thing I have to a child, and she’s my girl! I work from home, so she’s the only person I get to talk to all day. She’s my little buddy and my sidekick.

I am THANKFUL for Elite Motorsports

They are the BEST team in the business. I have wished my entire career for a group of guys like I have. I have literally never been happier or had more fun in my life.

I am THANKFUL for Richard Freeman

Richard is a team owner and a business partner who doubles as a best friend. It is so nice to work with such a great person. Richard is a great manager of people and a positive leader.

I am THANKFUL for NHRA Pro Stock

Getting to do what I love for a living. I caught the racing bug at a very young age, and it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’m blessed enough to say that’s the only job I’ve ever had.

I am THANKFUL for My friends

I have a small group of wonderful, supportive friends who are really amazing people. My dad told me when I was a kid that when I grew up, if I could count my real friends on one hand I’d be fortunate. I never understood that because I had so many friends, but the older I get, the more I go through and the life lessons I’ve learned, I understand just how true that statement is. It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality.
