JESEL PRO SERIES ROCKER KIT FOR SBC

JESELNow available for the Ultra Pro 4.400” and 4.500 bore center Billet SB Chevrolet heads, Jesel’s Pro Series rocker kit features a precision machined steel rocker stand that attaches to the head without any type of cylinder head modifications. Rocker geometry has been engineered using a 5.825” overall length intake and exhaust valve. The 1.850 pivot length rockers are manufactured from a custom blend 7000 series aluminum alloy with a standard shot-peen finish, rocker tail profile for added valve cover clearance, cup style tool steel adjuster and a mechanically retained nose roller assembly. Jesel can custom build the kit to your specifications which include ratio options from 1.55 up to 1.90 and intake rocker adjuster offsets of up to .750”. This new line of premium die cast aluminum valve covers completely reinvents the way valve covers are designed. COIL BRACKETS FOR LS1 ENGINES NOW AVAILABLE IN BILLET ALUMINUM

1100-coilbracket-hambSince its introduction in 1955, the SB Chevy engine has been the workhorse for the GM Corporation. Later on, it became the engine of choice among performance enthusiasts and car builders. The "Mouse Motor", as it was affectionately nicknamed, has also been a flagship application for Hamburger's Performance Products, dating back to the company’s humble beginnings in 1979. But, times are changing. “We felt the winds of change a few years back,” comments Vic Wood, sales manager for The Hedman Performance Group, and long time racer / hot rodder. Vic adds, “The LS series of engines has now replaced the SB Chevy as the engine of choice for street rodders, hot rodders, custom builders and racers. They’re more reliable, pump out more power, and are easier to find now than a SB Chevy. Hamburger's Performance has already begun its focus on the new LS motors, as the LS will continue to become a larger and larger part of the performance pie.”

The R&D Dept. at Hamburger's is always looking for gaps in the marketplace to help gearheads complete their projects better and easier, and LS owners have been asking for an alternative to reusing the stamped factory coil brackets during their custom project.

Hamburger's Performance Products, now offers billet aluminum coil pack brackets for LS engines (#1100).  CNC machined from 1/4" thick, 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum billets in its Whittier, California plant, the brackets are then given a Red anodized finish that looks excellent.

Hamburger's coil brackets are sold in pairs, and include stainless steel hex socket fasteners for clean, secure mounting. The brackets have the same bolt pattern as a set of stock LS1/LS6 brackets, but have been designed primarily for use with Hamburger’s  Performance Products’ Center Bolt Fabricated Aluminum Valve Covers (polished / brushed) on modified engines and race vehicles. Although these billet brackets use the same bolt pattern, their larger profile MAY interfere with your vehicle’s stock components. So, if you are thinking about using these brackets with your factory set-up, it is recommended that you check clearance carefully before ordering a pair. If you aren’t one to shy away from some basic fabrication, these brackets can be mounted on the vehicle's firewall, using your hardware and a little ingenuity.  All in all, these brackets are highly functional, and look sharp. They’ll complement virtually any engine compartment.

Currently, Hamburger's coil brackets are for use with MSD#82458 or GM#12558948 coil packs only. More models to be released later in the year. TREND’S NEW PUSHROD, FOR ALCOHOL APPLICATIONS ONLY

Using 7/16-inch diameter 4130 chrome molybdenum tubing with a .165-inch wall, Trend’s new alcohol pushrod features a 3/8-inch ball on the lifter end and a 5/16-inch radiused cup on the rocker-ball end. Noticeably, the external depth of the cup is a shallow ¼ inch to provide adequate working clearance. Further working clearances are accomplished by a precision-ground full taper, starting at 7/16-inch diameter near the lifter end and reducing to 3/8-inch under the cup.

For extra strength and rigidity, Trend’s new alcohol series pushrod is subjected to a carbo-nitriding process. Placed in an atmospheric furnace containing a combination of ammonia and natural gas, the pushrods are case-hardened to Rockwell Rc60.

The new Elite Race™ Solid Roller Lifters from COMP Cams® include a host of impressive features to make them the ultimate race lifter. They have an SAE 8620 alloy steel body that is CNC-machined and REM-finished, SAE 9310 steel alloy wheels that are precision-ground and needles made from 52100 bearing steel and micro-sorted with a controlled contour profile. These lifters feature an exclusive body design that does not have an oil band, thus maximizing rigidity and reducing lifter bushing wear.

While the construction and body design make them incredibly strong, the Elite Race™ Roller Lifters are also lightweight, with each lifter weighing less than 100 grams individually. All lifter bodies are “tall” and will clear both stock and aftermarket .300" tall lifter bores and will properly fit either 5/16" or 3/8" ball pushrods. Possibly the most critical element of this lifter design is the fact that the oversized (.400") axles are dual-pinned, leaving a small gap in between for oiling. Pressure-fed oil now has the ability to flow through the center and top of the axle – directly to the needles.

For maximum control and durability at high rpm, the captured link bars and modular design allow the pushrod insert to be swapped out for centered, left or right offsets. And with patent-pending oil control through the pushrod insert, engine builders can modify the lifter to meter extra oil to the top as desired. Elite Race™ Solid Roller Lifters are heat-treated, machined to high tolerances and are available for a number of Chevy, Ford and Chrysler applications.
