The 2025 World Series of Pro Mod will include Mountain Motor Pro Stock, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, and Super Pro, event officials announced. This addition rounds out the lineup alongside Pro Mod and Pro 10.5 for the third and final event in the DI Winter Series.
The Mountain Motor Pro Stock Invitational will feature a naturally aspirated component within the $100,000-to-win Pro Modified event. Top Sportsman and Top Dragster will showcase elite bracket racers at Bradenton Motorsports Park.
Wes Buck, founder and editorial director of Drag Illustrated, emphasized the importance of the supporting classes. “Pro Mod and Mountain Motor Pro Stock have shared the stage for many years. Fans enjoy seeing these two classes compete together,” Buck said.
Buck noted the appeal of the Top Sportsman and Top Dragster categories: “There are some big personalities and beautiful cars in these classes. Finally, we can’t have a race without the local racers getting to take part.”
The Mountain Motor Pro Stock Invitational will follow PDRA Extreme Pro Stock rules in an eighth-mile format. More than 20 drivers will be invited to qualify for a 16-car field.
Both Top Sportsman and Top Dragster will feature 32-car fields with entries offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The Super Pro Shootout will also consist of a 32-car field, with entries available next week.
The World Series of Pro Mod concludes the inaugural Drag Illustrated Winter Series presented by J&A Service. Kye Kelley, a star from Street Outlaws, won the series’ opening race in early December. The Winter Series continues from Jan. 23-26 at the U.S. Street Nationals presented by M&M Transmission.
