For decades, Vic Wood has been one of drag racing’s most recognizable relationship builders, the kind of figure who can walk through a pit area and know racers, sponsors, track operators, and manufacturers by first name.
Now, VizionOne Hand Cleaner is betting those relationships can help fuel the company’s next phase of growth.
The NHRA’s Official Hand Cleaner announced Monday that Wood has joined the company as Racing Manager – Drag Racing Sales, placing one of the sport’s most connected ambassadors at the center of its expansion efforts.
Wood’s responsibilities will include serving as VizionOne’s primary contact with racers, race teams, distributors, retailers, track operators, and industry partners. He will also play a major role in product demonstrations, event activation programs, customer engagement efforts, and sales development throughout drag racing.
The move comes as VizionOne continues to increase its visibility across NHRA competition and grassroots drag racing. Company officials believe Wood’s decades of experience and extensive network make him uniquely suited to carry the brand deeper into the sport.
“Vic is exactly the perfect guy for VizionOne,” said Rodger Brogdon, the driving force behind VizionOne. “While our product is an all-natural product, it only works perfect to have an ambassador in the field who is a natural at pressing the flesh and promoting our product. Vic has been working with us all season and we couldn’t be any more proud to have him as part of our team.”
The appointment is less about adding another sales representative and more about putting a familiar face behind a growing brand. In drag racing, relationships still matter, and few people have spent more time cultivating them than Wood.
His career has included team management, sponsorship development, event promotion, racer support, and business partnerships. Along the way, he built a reputation as someone who could bridge the gap between racers and the companies looking to support them.
That ability has made him a trusted figure throughout the sport. It is also one of the reasons VizionOne pursued him as the company expands its footprint.
Wood said the opportunity allows him to remain involved in the NHRA community while representing a product he believes was designed with racers in mind.
“It’s great to be back at the track,” Wood said. “I am thrilled to have the chance to work with Rodger Brogdon and his team at VizionOne.
“I’ve observed Rodger over the years, and his commitment to NHRA Drag Racing and its competitors has always been obvious. The opportunity to accept this invitation from Rodger was an easy decision and exactly what I was looking for to remain at the track and within the NHRA framework that I’ve been fortunate to be a part of for many years.
“VizionOne was developed for drag racers and meets their needs using a 100-percent natural process. We’ve received an exceptional reception from many touring teams, and we look forward to speaking with teams of all sizes throughout the sport.
“When you see the VizionOne golf cart in the pits, stop and say hello. It’s always good to see new faces.”

Those comments reflect what many within the industry already know about Wood. His value has never been measured solely by titles or job descriptions, but by the trust he has earned throughout a career spent helping people connect.
Whether working with sponsors, race teams, manufacturers, or promoters, Wood has consistently operated as one of drag racing’s unofficial ambassadors. His latest role simply formalizes what he has done for much of his career.
VizionOne’s growth strategy centers on direct engagement with racers and crews who spend their weekends working with grease, oil, paint, ink, and other difficult-to-remove contaminants. The company’s all-natural formula was developed to clean heavily soiled hands without relying on petroleum-based ingredients.
As the brand continues to expand across NHRA competition, company officials believe Wood’s presence will strengthen those efforts. His familiarity with the people who make the sport function, from crew members and team owners to track operators and sponsors, gives VizionOne an experienced voice in the pits.
For a company looking to establish long-term roots in drag racing, the hire represents more than a personnel announcement. It is a commitment to growing the brand through the relationships that have always driven the sport forward.
And if Wood has his way, that growth will happen one handshake at a time.
“It’s always good to see new faces.”
