While rainouts and schedule changes reshaped portions of Memorial Day weekend drag racing, the Funny Car Chaos Series was able to complete its inaugural Chaos SuperNationals at Norwalk, Ohio.

The event, presented by Comp Cams, marked the first appearance by the Funny Car-inspired series at the Bader family facility and delivered a full slate of eliminations across its various categories.

Former Top Fuel racer Alan Bradshaw left with the weekend’s biggest trophy after winning the Funny Car Chaos A-field title.

Bradshaw stopped Keith Zimmerer in the final round with a 3.642-second pass at 206.16 mph. His path to the championship round included victories over Robbie Massey and Lance Van Hauen before sealing the win against Zimmerer.

Zimmerer reached the final after defeating Bobby Martin and Justin Millott.

The win added another chapter to Bradshaw’s racing resume after years spent competing in Top Fuel competition.

The Funny Car Chaos Series has developed a following around nostalgia-style Funny Cars and varied engine combinations, bringing together alcohol and nitro-powered entries under one program.

Other class winners also completed strong weekends.

Dale Ducci captured the Funny Car Chaos B-field title when Kurt Duckworth encountered problems in the final round. Ducci recorded a winning run of 4.219 seconds at 173.61 mph to secure the victory.

Joe Perone won the Funny Car Chaos C field with a 4.070-second run at 180.19 mph over Jordan Ballou.
